Japanese food again for Sunday lunch. As there are only two Japanese restaurants available in Jusco Tebrau; Sushi King and Kinsahi, without hesitation i opted for Kinsahi.

Kinsahi may be popular in Johor Bahru as there are 5 outlets there while there are only 2 in Klang Valley.

The interior of the restaurant was fashioned in a rather somber mood, with wooden wall.

Kinsahi’s Day for VIP Card Member only from 22/06/09 – 25/06/09. 50% off for selected dishes and it’s quite cheap. Fancy trap, RM9.95++; Nameko Tofu, RM4.45++; Shiro Maguro Sashimi, RM10.95++; Sanma Shioyaki, RM6.95++, Tori Kimuchi Itame, RM7.45++

Free flow of green tea costs RM1 per person

Tako kimuchi (seasoned scallop), RM5

Once we were seated, a bowl of seasoned scallops was served to us. At first, we thought it was FOC just like http://pinkielollipop.blogspot.com/2009/06/blog-post.html where they serve tasty FOC starter for everyone. However, this was not complimentary and they charged us RM5 for that, which was outrageous. I should say this was sorta like a rip off.

Seafood ramen, RM14.90

Mr. Bf ordered this seafood ramen. There was nothing to shout about.

Fancy trap (十面埋伏), RM19.90

Rice topped with unagi, ebiko, small slices of salmon and tuna, egg, cucumber and some octopus. It was delicious.

Unagi temaki, RM 7.90. The seaweed wasn’t crispy at all.

To be frank, if there are more Japanese restaurants to choose, I would rather go to Ichiban Boshi, Sushi Zanmai or Sakae Sushi which is more worth the money spent.

Total bill comes with RM52+. With the membership card, I got 10% off the bill.
